In-clinic Labs & Galleri Testing

Early Detection Saves Lives.

Skip the long lines and cold waiting rooms of traditional hospitals and testing labs and let Sterling Wellness comfortably and conveniently administer and analyze your results.

The in-Clinic Lab Process

  • Schedule an appointment with Sterling Wellness Medspa

  • A healthcare professional collects samples

  • Sterling Wellness reviews the results with you and answers any questions or concerns.

  • Based on the results, personalized treatment plans are discussed, if needed.

  • Lab professionals analyze the data and generate a report.

  • Tests are conducted to diagnose, monitor, or screen for conditions.

  • Samples are processed on-site or sent to a specialized lab.

Galleri Testing

Galleri testing refers to the Galleri test, a multi-cancer early detection (MCED) blood test. It is designed to detect over 50 types of cancer by analyzing DNA fragments in the blood for cancer-specific signals. Galleri tests are performed in the comfort of the clinic at Sterling Wellness.

How It Works

  • The test looks for methylation patterns in circulating cell-free DNA (cfDNA), which can indicate the presence of cancer.

  • If a cancer signal is detected, the test can help identify the tissue of origin (i.e., where the cancer is likely coming from).

  • It is a screening test, not a diagnostic test, meaning further medical evaluation is needed to confirm a cancer diagnosis.

Who Should Consider Galleri Testing?

  • It is primarily recommended for people at higher risk of cancer, such as:

    • Those aged 50 and older

    • Individuals with a family history of cancer

    • Those with other risk factors (e.g., smoking, genetic predisposition)

Limitations & Considerations

  • Not FDA-approved yet, but available under CLIA-certified laboratories.

  • Not a replacement for standard cancer screenings (e.g., mammograms, colonoscopies).

  • Can produce false positives or false negatives, so further testing is required if a signal is detected.
